    1. THAT Council proclaim September 2024 as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in the Town of Wasaga Beach.

Councillor Timms and Councillor Dileo both declared an indirect pecuniary interest for item 10.4 Royal Canadian Legion Branch 645 - Fernbrook Hall Lease. 

To accommodate scheduling conflicts the Clerk requested that Council move the Closed Session to the beginning of the meeting.  The change of the agenda order is permitted by Section 6.01 (b) of the Town's Procedural By-law, the Chair approved this change.

Administration requested an addition to the Closed Council Agenda:

Tour of Municipal Buildings pursuant to Section 239 (3.1) of Municipal Act which allows for Education sessions.  

During this portion of the meeting the following condition of the Municipal Act will be satisfied:
The meeting will be held for the purpose of educating the members and at this meeting no member will discuss or materially advance the business or decision making of Council.  Accordingly, the following motions were before Council:

Council entered Closed Session on September 12, 2024 at approximately 10:09 am to discuss the following matters:

17.3.1 Beachfront Development in accordance with Section 239(2)(k) of the Municipal Act.

Staff direction was given in accordance with the Act.

17.3.2 Employment Matters in accordance with Section 239(2)(b) of the Municipal Act.
